So I basically locked myself in my office all day long and tried to finish writing these 2 songs that I have in my brain. After litterally about 10 hours I noticed that I was going insane in the membrain. So I took a drive just to get away for a little bit…I was driving aimlessly while listening to some of the songs we have written so far, when I saw a Kroger (grocery store)…..I wanted some cereal, so I went in. Here is where my story begins….I was at the check out counter when the check out lady randomly asks, “Did you just get off work?” It was like 1:30 am, so I just assumed she was making small talk….. so I just keep everything short and simple and say, “Yep” ….THEN, she asks, “Oh, what do you do?” That’s when I froze up…..I didn’t want to have to explain that I don’t actually work like a proper job, I didn’t want to explain that I was just writing at home all day….I was not ready for this sort of commitment in our relationship…..I just wanted my cereal and I wanted to leave……so I answered her question and said, “I am an entertainer”. Don’t ask me why I chose that as my answer….like I said I sort of froze up. So then she says, “Oh are you like a male dancer or something?” By this point I could not see away out of this…..so I looked her straight in the eye and said, “Yeah, but I got off early tonight, so I am stoked to finally get home.” Then she said, “So that’s why you got the cereal, huh?” Now I don’t exactly know what that means, but I just said, “Yep, you called it”…..and then I just walked away, shaking my head, and laughing. Anyway, the moral of the story is don’t lie. Josh The Chariot
