So @stevisreyvis got this new wireless pack for his guitar and after practice we wanted to see exactly how far it would reach. So he starts playing his guitar and we start walking…first we slowly head out towards the front door of the 7 venue…still working. Then we exit the 7 venue…still working. I am on the phone with @jonathankindler because I can’t hear it anymore, (we are so far away) he assures me it is still working. So we jump in the van, I am driving, @stevisreyvis is in shot gun with the door open still playing the guitar…..it is still working. I hear the guitar through my cell phone which is pretty amazing if you think about it. Stevis strums the guitar and it travels wirelessly all the way back at the 7 venue to his amp, then the sound travels from the amp to the cell phone, then into the great abyss and then back into my ear, through my cell phone where I am sitting literally 2 feet from Stevis. Technology! Anyway, we drive to the end of the parking lot (by checkers) and it is still working. Unbelievable! So then I turn right on Fairburn road and start driving…still working. I almost reach Waffle House (the one I eat at most days of my life) when I notice flashing blue lights behind me. Yep, a cop saw a van driving down the street at a snails pace with the passenger side door open and a Stevis hanging out of it playing a deftones riff and decided that he should pull us over. Must have been a great scene. You can imagine how awesome it was trying to convince him of our story and yet also convince him, we were sober. Anyway, at the end of the day he was a pretty cool cop but he def informed me that I could have been arrested on the spot because my license was expired…but I swore I never imagined the wireless pack would reach out of the parking lot, so I never actually meant to drive anywhere…..he was cool and I did not get arrested. But if anyone ever asks how far the Samson wireless pack for guitars can reach….you can tell them it will almost reach the Waffle House. Josh
